Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your use of FarmersToday (farmerstoday.com). By using the site you accept them. They are written in plain language on purpose.
1. Who we are
FarmersToday is farm management software delivered as a web service: records, work planning and cost control for a farm business. Fields, stock, machinery, purchases and labour go in once, and the numbers a manager needs come out of the same place. The service is operated as part of the All Farmers, One Platform network; the operator can be reached at [email protected] or through the contact page.
2. Your account
Reading the public pages is open to everyone. Using the software — keeping records, inviting crew, exporting data — needs an account. You must give a valid email address, keep your password confidential and accept responsibility for everything done under your account; tell us promptly if you think the password has been compromised. One person may hold one account, and we may merge or close duplicates after writing to you.
3. What you may and may not do
- Use the service lawfully, and enter only records of your own business or of businesses whose owner has authorised you to keep them.
- Enter accurate records: the reports, exports and filings you draw from the service are only as good as what goes into it.
- Do not use the service to store, advertise or transmit anything whose sale or possession is prohibited where it is — stolen goods, contraband, or material that breaches animal-welfare, medicines or seed rules.
- Do not scrape, resell, systematically extract or mirror the service, its code, or another member's exported data.
- Do not interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or reverse-engineer the software beyond what applicable law allows.
- Do not use another member's contact details for anything other than the purpose that put you in touch.
4. Your records and our licence
You keep ownership of everything you enter and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce and adapt it solely to operate the service for you — to host it, back it up, index it for search inside your own account and render the reports you ask for. We never sell it, mine it or use it to train anything that is not this service. We may remove material that breaches these Terms or the law, or that a legal order requires us to remove; removal of unlawful material creates no liability towards you.
5. Your business is yours alone
FarmersToday hosts and computes; your business decisions are yours. We are not a party to your contracts with contractors, suppliers, buyers or advisers, we do not handle payments between you and anyone else, and we do not warrant the outcome of anything you file or claim from the software. The records stay yours, and you may export them at any time, on any plan. See our Disclaimer.
6. Fees
The core service is free. Optional paid features are priced on screen before you confirm them and billed only after you start them. Unless an offer says otherwise, a fee is non-refundable once the feature has been delivered, and we may change prices with reasonable notice on the site.
7. Intellectual property
The site itself — its design, code, logos, category structure and original editorial text — belongs to us or to our licensors. Member records belong to the member who entered them. You may print, export and share your own records as you wish; anything else needs our written consent. Details are in the Copyright Notice.
8. Availability
We work to keep the site available around the clock and we plan for maintenance, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. The service may be paused for updates, infrastructure work or events outside our control, and we announce planned downtime on the site where we reasonably can.
9. Suspending and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaches these Terms, is used in fraud, or whose owner cannot be reached at the address on file. You may close your own account at any time from your account page; the steps are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
We are liable for our own negligence, for fraud and for fraudulent misrepresentation, and nothing here limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue or data, or for the acts and omissions of other members. Where we are liable for anything else, our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and £100.
11. Complaints
Tell us what went wrong through the contact page and quote the email address on your account. We acknowledge a complaint within two working days and answer it in substance within fourteen. If we cannot settle it, you may refer the matter to the consumer authority of your country; residents of the European Union may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
12. Changes to these Terms and governing law
We may update these Terms as the service changes; the date at the top of this page is the date of the last change, and for material changes we notify members by email before the new terms apply. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts hear any dispute, save that the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence still apply to you.
13. Software you run a business on
- Your records are yours. We host them so that the service works; we do not mine them, sell them or use them to train anything that is not this service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the returns you file from it. The software helps you keep records; it does not warrant that a return is correct.
- Exporting your data is available at all times and is never held hostage when an account closes — but a prudent business keeps its own copy.
- A subscription runs until you cancel it. Where a trial converts to a paid plan we say so before the trial ends, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
- Availability is targeted, not promised: this is a hosted service, and maintenance, infrastructure failure and events outside our control can interrupt it. Where we lose data through our own failure we restore it from the most recent backup we hold.
